Scarves might just be one of my favorite accessories (next to belts and necklaces).

If I need to add more color to a neutral outfit (I wear a lot of black and white tops) I turn to a scarf for a pop of interest.

And if I need to tie in colors in an outfit (say I wear a black top and fuchsia bottoms) I’ll use a scarf to blend in my color ways.

Best of all, scarves are forgiving.  They don’t shrink when you’re pregnant (or have gained a few extra pounds), and they stick around forever.

But how to tie a scarf? I get this question all the time from my style clients.  And although there are thousands of scarf tying ideas, I feel that it all starts to look the same after a while so I’m sticking to some classic ways that look good on everybody.

P.S. And if you’re curious about the Wrap Belt I’m using to tie my scarf – it can be found HERE >>> wrap belt in black <<<  Not only will it hold down a scarf but it’s an “instant waist” creator.  It’s seriously magical.  One black wrap belt is a must in every woman’s wardrobe.  Trust me on this one.
